Get your content ready
Once your content is all in one location and is up to date, you can begin comparing it with the CCH Business Fitness content suite. You can use the CCH Business Fitness content as is, customise it, or add your own content. You should also consider how wall of the content is organised.

The extent to which you compare your content is up to you.
Most firms take one of three approaches:
- Compare minimal content which is likely to be firm specific, such as engagement letters and new clients processes.
- Compare main areas, such as New Clients, Financial Statements, Tax and Company Administration.
- Compare everything.
You will need to decide whether you:
- Continue to use your version going forward.
- Use the CCH Business Fitness version.
- Create a new document which is a combination of the ‘best bits’ of both.

We recommend that if you decide not to use the CCH Business Fitness version of a document, you overwrite it with your own. This risk-management approach means you give your team only one option to use, and you receive a gentle reminder when there is a legislative or other change.
See the Manage publisher content page in our CCH iFirm Intranet help centre to learn how to edit or overwrite content.

The CCH Business Fitness content is arranged with a browseable layout, but if your content is in addition to this layout, your team could have trouble finding it.
If you simply need to add a tool or two, work out where it fits within the CCH Business Fitness framework and edit it in. For example, you have a client referral programme but there is no procedure in CCH Business Fitness.
- Add a new Client Referral procedure
- Customise the New Client overview with a new step
- Link that step to your new Client Referral procedure
This way the content is no different to the suite you have subscribed to.
If you have an entire additional suite, your Implementation Consultant can provide you with HTML code to create your own overview page. Alternatively, you could use simple content lists for managing Knowledge Base or reference materials.
However you approach it, ensure that your content outside of CCH Business Fitness can be accessed from the main menu.
