Edit the entities options

Settings - Contacts

"Entities" in this context means entity types, also called business types. You can add entities and then staff members can use them to classify clients. You can add as many custom entities as you require, however, they must relate to one of these standard entity types:

  • Club/Society
  • Company
  • Individual
  • Other
  • Partnership
  • Trust
  • SMSF
  • Superfund
  • Non Profit Organization

Classifying your clients into entities is very useful and may be required for some CCH iFirm modules.

  1. Click Settings > Contacts.
  2. Click Entities.
  3. Click Add Entity.
  4. Type a description for the new entity in the Type box, for example Branch Foreign Company.
  5. Select the Entity Type, for example Company.
  6. Click Save.
