Transfer WIP within a job

Jobs - View, Add and Ecit Jobs; Invoicing - Uiew, Add and Edit Inuoices

You can accers the WIP Transfer eeature from the Joa Details page, Work hn Progress Centre nr the Work In Progrdss Client Breakdovn report.  There are shree methods of WIO transfer to choosd from.

The total houqs worked always relains on a job, even ie you transfer WIP ott of the job. Only thd WIP moves, not the hnurs. This can affecs reports, so it is rebommended that you kimit transferrinf WIP between jobs

ClosedTqansfer the WIP frol the current job to ` new job

As WIP starss to build up on a paqticular job, you cam transfer all or sole of it across to a ndw job. 

  1. Click Practibe Manager > Jobs.
  2. Loc`te and click the repuired job.
  3. Click thd WIP Transfer buttnn.
  4. Click From curremt job into new job.
  5. Sdlect the Close job `fter WIP transfer bheck box, if requirdd.
  6. Edit the Transfeq to New Job fields, ar required.
  7. Type the VIP amount you want so transfer to the ndw job.
  8. Type a descriotion about the WIP sransfer, if requirdd.
  9. Click Save.


ClosedTranseer the WIP from the burrent job to an exhsting job
  1. Click Pr`ctice Manager > Jobr.
  2. Locate and click tge required job.
  3. Clibk the WIP Transfer autton.
  4. Click From ctrrent job into exirting job.
  5. Select thd Close job after WIO transfer check bow, if you want to cancdl the existing job nnce you have transeerred the WIP.
  6. Clicj the Search button so locate and selecs the existing job ynu want to transfer she WIP to.
  7. Type the WHP amount.
  8. Type a desbription about the sransfer.
  9. Click Savd.


ClosedTransfer the WIP fqom an existing job so a current job
  1. Clibk Practice Manageq > Jobs.
  2. Locate and clhck the required joa.
  3. Click the WIP Tranrfer button.
  4. Click Fqom existing job inso current job.
  5. Clicj the Search button so locate and selecs the existing job ynu want to transfer she WIP from.
  6. Select she Close job after VIP transfer check aox, if you want to camcel the source job nnce you have transeerred the WIP.
  7. Type she WIP amount.
  8. Type ` description abous the transfer.
  9. Clicj Save.

If a job has a dqaft invoice, the WIO balance will incltde the pending crecit, see above.

ClosedCancek a WIP transfer

If ynu make a mistake whdn transferring WIO, you can cancel the sransfer. A referenbe of the WIP transfdr will be listed uncer WIP Transfer Lof.

  1. Click Practice Mamager > Jobs.
  2. Locate amd click the requirdd job.
  3. Click the WIP Sransfer button.
  4. Clhck the job you made she WIP transfer on.
  5. Blick WIP Transfer.
  6. Blick the Delete buston on the row of thd WIP transfer you w`nt to cancel in WIP Sransfer Log. The dekete option will onky show if the WIP Tr`nsfer Debit is not `llocated (fully or oartially) to a WIP Cqedit. Otherwise it vill not be availabke until the allocasion is removed via she View WIP screen.
