I1 Fixed Interest Investments

This workpaper will give you a summary of your fixed interest investments and the movement within them.

Recommended supporting documents: RWT certificates, fixed interest investment statements.

1. Use the drop-down box in cell F9 to select up to 30 fixed interest investments for your client.
2. Use the Rollover data function in the CCH workpaper ribbon to import details of investments held the previous year.
3. Enter changes to investment, including reversal of accrual, withdrawals, advances & interest earned.
4. Enter this year’s accrual.
5. Prepare journal on D1 - D3, if necessary. See Create a journal manually for further assistance.
6. Ensure the GL & workpaper balances reconcile.
7. Review the summary table to ensure all fixed interest investments have been recorded.
