I2 Investments - Shares

This workpaper will give you a summary of investments in shares and the movement in the value throughout the year.

Recommended supporting documents: RWT certificates, dividend statements.

1. Use the drop-down box in cell F9 to select up to 30 investments for your client.
2. Use the Rollover data function in the workpaper ribbon to import details of investments held the previous year.
3. Enter changes to the investment, including purchases, dividends reinvested, sales, revaluations and non-taxable bonus issue.
4. Prepare journal on D1 - D3, if necessary. See Create a journal manually for further assistance.
5. Ensure GL & workpaper balances reconcile.
6. Review summary table to ensure all fixed interest investments have been recorded.
