Integrate with accounting software
CCH Workpapers integrates with different general ledger software. How does integration with the workpapers work? This varies depending on the accounting software you use. The following is a general overview on how each system integrates.
This requires the installation of a program referred to as the CCH Workpapers Tray App. This app allows you to open workpapers directly from a client’s iFirm ledger and during this process the workbook is populated with the GL data. For detailed instructions see Install CCH Workpapers located in the iFirm help centre. It is also important to note that journals are uploaded from the workpapers to iFirm via CSV file.
As they’re not cloud based systems, the GL data is imported directly from the systems database files. Clicking on Import GL data in the CCH Workpaper ribbon will prompt you to browse to a client’s database file.
GL data is imported directly from the SQL Server database. Journals are uploaded via CSV files. See MYOB AO Common Ledger Setup for specific setup instructions.
GL data and journals are all managed via CSV files. Clicking on Import GL data in the CCH Workpaper ribbon will prompt you to browse and select an exported TB CSV file.
This is a live connection with Reckon One which means you can import and refresh GL data directly with Reckon One and upload journals straight to Reckon One. Clicking Import GL data on the CCH Workpapers ribbon will take you directly to the Reckon One login screen. Once logged in you will select which book you want to integrate with. The connection will remain available for this workbook on this computer. You can disconnect CCH Workpapers from Reckon by clicking the Disconnect button in the book selection dialog box and then restarting Excel.
