Worksheet versioning

  1. How do i get the latest version of each worksheet?
    The version of the worksheets that are downloaded and added to the workbook are dependant on the version of the CCH Workpaper addin you are running. To find the current version of the add-in check our updates page. To check the version you are running, go to Control panel > Programs and Features > CCH BFNZ Workpapers (or CCH Workpapers) (published by CCH Business Fitness NZ). If required, update your addin to the current version. Any further sheets you add to your workbook via the Workbench sheet, will be the current version.

    To update sheets that have already been added to the workbook, delete the sheets (you may need to unhide them first) and actually right-click> delete them, and then re-add from the Workbench.

Accessing the workpapers

  1. I use iFirm Intranet and I can’t find the latest release of the workpapers?

  2. I use CCH iFirm Document Manager (on premise) and I can’t find the latest release of the workpapers?

Installing the CCH Workpapers Add-in

  1. We operate a terminal server environment, so I am having trouble installing the CCH Workpapers Add-in. What do I do?
    Refer to our instructions for installing the Add-in on a terminal server, as it requires a different version of the Add-in. This task is best performed by your IT provider.
  2. I get a message that .NET is not installed. What do I do?, contact your IT provider.
  3. My virus software won’t let me install the Add-in. What should I do?
    If you have very tight security settings, your anti-virus software may quarantine the Add-in executable file. You could try to override this by opening your anti-virus software and restoring the file. Otherwise, talk to your IT provider.

Activating the CCH Workpapers Add-in

  1. Where do I find my firm’s unique product key?
    The product key is included in your firms welcome email. If you cannot find your product key, contact us. Please share the key with your team, to ensure all users have access to it.
  2. My product key doesn’t work. What do I do?
    Please make sure you have entered the product key correctly (we recommend you copy and paste directly from the email, and ensure that you’re connected to the Internet. If you still have no success, check that your network adapters are enabled: Open the "Network Connections" control panel. The fastest way is to type "NCPA.cpl" in the start menu and press Enter. Then, for any disabled (or greyed-out) adapters, right click them and click "Enable". Try the activation again. If you still have no success, contact us.
  3. I get a message that Activation has failed - “the product key as already been activated with the maximum number of computers.”
    Contact us to arrange an increase in your number of licenses or to reset your activation count. A reset will require users to re-activate the Add-in the next time they open a workpaper file.

Updating the CCH Workpapers Add-in

  1. How do I update the CCH workpapers Add-in?
    You will receive a notification on the CCH Workpapers ribbon. You can click on this link to view what’s in this update but terminal server users will require their IT provider/ network administrator to manage the update for the team.   2. I don’t see any notifications in my CCH Workpaper ribbon. What should I do?
    Uninstall the CCH workpapers Add-in from programs and features (published by CCH Business Fitness NZ) and reinstall from here for PC users and here for terminal servers. For terminal server updates, this task is best performed by your IT provider.
  3. How can I tell what version of the CCH Workpapers Add-in I am running?
    Go to control panel > programs and features and find CCH Workpapers in the list of installed programs (published by CCH Business Fitness NZ). The version number will be to the right of the program name.
